In this 100+ year old building that holds some Somerville history, the last few decades in the space have been home to women creators of various mediums. The most recent artist for the past decade has been Amy Lou Stein. She created her studio workshop called Craftwork here at 259 Highland Ave. and welcomed so many folks for classes in knitting, sewing, eco-printing, natural dye workshops, herbal classes, candle-making, tarot classes, seasonal rituals, and local art pop-ups. New proprietress, Jenn, met Amy Lou via the herbalism community and they have been dear friends since. Jenn taught lunar cycles workshops and hosted other community gatherings in the studio space. Now that Amy and her family are moving away, Jenn is honored to transition the studio space and continue the tradition of creating + hosting folks!
